“Healing isn’t linear, its abstract.”

Healing While Black: The Artist Salon is a series that invites artists, creatives, and the community to brunch to talk mental health, wellness, and healing. Minority communities have been disproportionately affected by the lack of mental health resources available and cultural stigmas.  In each of these discussions we commit to offering resources for the community and destigmatizing the topic of mental health. As the host for this series I want those that come to sit at the table to feel as though they are sitting with family.  Growing up, my mother always had us eat every meal together, and I believe this created a deeper empathy for one another. We were always rich in love, good food, and laughter.  That is what this series brings to the table.

In order to commit ourselves more deeply to this practice we are accepting donations in the link below.  All proceeds will go to the development of the series meaning production, location, and travel and outputting resources to local underserved minority communities.

“The Color of Healing Goes Abroad”
